Pants on Fire

The last US president lied to the nation about a stupid, embarrassing, private mistake that didn't cost the taxpayer a dime (except for millions spent investigating it) and didn't affect the state of the country. He was almost impeached and, to many, tarnished the presidency forever. The current US president also lied to the nation. His lie made Americans march into a faraway land to fight an expensive, bloody and largely pointless war, severely disrupting US international relations. But no-one's talking about impeachment and, when asked, many Americans say that it was good to go to Iraq, regardless of WMDs.
